Confused?? I'll clear that up.

All I want to say is that this picture above of the cat and the blonde girl is NOT me. I know, I know. . . You may have stared at it for a long duration of time (like I did) trying to figure out if that is me. If I own that shirt, if that is my hair or if I ever at one time was screaming at a cat that was screaming back at me. But just to clear things up. . . It is not me. End of discussion.

HOPE Festival

Oh hey family...

Capsa is putting on a HOPE Festival on the 28th of October in the TSC. 25% of the profit will go towards Capsa, but there will be no entry fee. I have one table already on reserve. If more of you would like to participate, please let me know and I will most certainly pass on information. I would think we could combine tables if others would like. Let me know ASAP...the lady in charge is wanting to know if more are interested and they are trying to get the word out to the public...so if you are, please let me know what you would be planning on selling as well.

I did something crazy today. I bought a Kelsey Excelsior 6x10 tabletop platen press. It is for letterpress, a process I have fallen in love with. It will take me some time to restore it (needs one new roller and at least a paint job), clean the 15 different kinds type  - Garamond, Century, and Bodini to name a few, and get rid of the cigarette smoke smell it came with (I did just pick it up from a trailer park). But it's amazing and I have high hopes it will take me far!

So here's where you guys care - would any of you be interested in having a workshop? It wouldn't be for a few months...or more. But it would be just a sweet taste into the world of letterpress and an excuse to all get together again. Oh and Adrienne, even though you have exposure to letterpress already, I will buy you a meal from Hires. C'mon. I miss everyone...

So what do ya say?

Print sale is the 19th and 20th of November. Remember how great that is? I love money. Anyway, come, buy, support and give me your money. Kidding. Okay, the real reason of this post is that Kathy said she's okay with graduates (that's most of you out in TV land, if you've forgotten) putting work in to sell. So do it, damn it. You still have to give a portion of your winnings to the Print Guild but, let's face it, you probably would anyway because you're just. that. nice.

The Greatest News of September 9th!

I received Intel that pie night 09 is going to be even better than last year. Oh and we will all be invited to attend.


So I think we ought to do a monthly family dinner/game/hang out night. Any suggestions or support of said idea.
